Concerns over Apple iTunes Security and Privacy

A new feature in Apple's iTunes store called "Mini Store", a miniature pane in the software that recommends music based on the user's past selections, has raised concerns of both privacy and security.

The concern is specifically about the data transference from the user's local system and the Apple website. This data contains the user's unique ID which is linked to vital account information on the Apple website, including other Apple products such as .MAC services and Apple Developer Connection. Although Apple claims that the data is neither stored nor archived in a database, the concerns are still valid since the data could potentially be intercepted in transit.
