By increasing the IT administration and security features for Android, they can make their mobile OS more appealing to business customers for both their OS and their corporate email, docs, and Apps suite.
Google is introducing tablet encryption, which will allow Android 2.2+ devices to secure lost or stolen devices. The encryption technology is achieved through an API and allows for devices to be located on a map, ring the device and for resetting the device PIN or password remotely. These new features will be rolled out to Google Apps business and education customers.
