Oracle is helping to further improve MySQL's capabilities for Windows. They introduced a new installer for the Windows platform that will help streamline deployment. This will radically reduce installation time. The MySQL Enterprise Edition offers a suite of tools that can offer up to 90% cost savings. The tools include visual tools for modeling, development, monitoring, administration and backup of Windows-based MySQL applications.

Additionally, Oracle has completed certification for MySQL Enterprise Edition for Windows Server 2008 R2 Failover Clustering. Now Windows users will be able to deploy MySQL with business-critical applications that require a high level of availability.
