A change to Adwords quality score reporting

Written by Ironpaper | Jul 27, 2013 1:36:19 PM

Globally, the way AdWords quality scores are reported will be changing over the next few days. These updates as announced by Google are designed to “tie your 1-10 numeric Quality Score more closely to its three key sub factors."

  1. expected clickthrough rate
  2. ad relevance
  3. landing page experience

However, the way quality score is calculated in real-time for each auction will not be affected by the update. The performance of ads will not be affected by the new reporting. Google has not announced the specifics around what this will look like.  The changes will, however, effect automated rules that are built upon quality score of advertising. These rules will need to be adjusted after the change goes into affect.
