According to a new study by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 6% of online adults are Reddit users. Young men are especially likely to visit the website.

Approximately 15% of male web users between the ages 18-29 state that they use reddit. Yet, only 5% of women use the website.

Reddit describes itself as the “front page of the internet,” and the community serves a diverse collection of user-submitted content, including memes, jokes, stories, links, photos and videos. Active sub-communities on the website address a wide selection of topics, with a community dedicated to it's specificity and taste.
