Google has integrated Google+ sign-in with Google’s authorship program and WordPress.com. This new feature will enable the articles you publish through Wordpress to be associated with your Google+ profile automatically.
Rich snippets are basically a few lines of text that appear under every search result. They expand the influence and visibility of search content by making results more relevant to users. The introduction of this easy way to achieve rich snippets was introduced as a BETA program with WordPress and Typepad. The search giant is considering expanding this program to other websites and apps soon.
