Twitter has been rolling out services using Direct Messages to help individuals better understand and utilize their platform.

Twitter is evolving its private message tool into a marketing and engagement engine for the micro-blogging company. A new service called Twitter advertising tips runs under the account name @TwitterAdTips and was built solely for Twitter’s advertising constituency. If you follow this account, Twitter will send you “personalized tips to improve your Twitter Ads account performance” by way of Direct Messages.

This isn't the first time that Twitter rolled out new services based on it's Direct Message tool to help users engage with and utilize the platform. Another example happened over the summer when Twitter rolled out the @MagicRecs account, which sends content and user recommendations via Direct Messages based on activity in a user's "follow graph."

Another account to follow is Event Parrot (@eventparrot), which is yet another service by Twitter. If you follow this account, Twitter will keep you up on the latest trends and news happening in the land of Twitter.
