Facebook updated the embedded posts functionality to allow for publishers to specific a specific width for the unit. A width between 350 to 750 pixels can be specified within the Embed Post dialog.
On smartphones, Facebook embedded posts will automatically scale to fit the width of the container (mobile screen).
This will help make it easier for social media or blogging teams to publish social citations within websites or blog posts.
