It has been a tough year for B2B print advertising sales.

According to data by the Business Information Network (BIN) data from the Association of Business Media (ABM), sales declined by 4.8% last year. This year the total Q1 B2B print advertising sales fell by 6.2%, from $1.83 billion to $1.72 billion. The second also showed ad sales dropping by 5.5% year-over-year.

Q1 print ad sales dropped by almost 20% Y-O-Y for the business, marketing and advertising industry (-19.97%), aviation, aerospace and military (19.75%) and electronic engineering (-19.62%) industries.

The only industry to register an increase in print advertising sales throughout the first 4 months of the year was: travel, business conventions and meetings.
