Release of Google Shopping campaigns and API to aid advertisers

In February, Google released, out of BETA, the Shopping campaigns it had been testing with an exclusive group of advertisers.

Google Shopping campaigns gives advertisers inventory and product feed data within AdWords. The new advertising campaign was designed to simplify the process of creating and managing product listing ads. Google Shopping campaigns also give users more access to the content in Google Merchant product feeds without having to directly log into into the Google Merchant Center.

This month, Google expanded the Shopping campaigns by launching a supporting API for managing product listing ads (PLAs). The Shopping campaigns API is available to digital agencies and third-party platforms to aid larger implementations of the campaign-type.

Supposedly a bid simulator is in the works for Google Shopping Campaigns.
