Paid search spending continues to grow YOY

search ad reportA newly released report by IgnitionOne shows that paid search in the US continues to grow year over year.

Looking at Q4 of 2013, search advertising spend grew by 12% compared to 2012. Much of that growth occurred during the holiday season the report indicated. In addition, clicks increased by 5% and click through rates rose 25% in Q4 of 2013.

The report also outlined growth in mobile and programmatic display advertising in addition to paid search.

The report outlined the growth of the tablet market, which saw a spending increase YoY for tablets up by 82%.  Smartphones did even better with a growth of 253%.
