This Christmas was the largest day for iOS and Android device activation ever, according to mobile analytics company Flurry. The presents under the tree this year were more iPhones, iPads, Galaxy's, Kindle Fires, etc than ever before. Ultimately 17 million new smartphones and tablets have come online--marking a huge flood of new accounts and new customers within their respective mobile app marketplaces.
This record for new device activations also precipitated a record for mobile app downloads as well.
