Digital Marketing Manager - Charlotte, NC

We are hiring a full-time digital marketing manager to lead inbound client projects. You'll focus on B2B lead generation for technology companies and/or nonprofits. This position offers freedom to explore digital strategies, run analytical campaigns, and provide guidance to a team.

Positions open in both New York City and Charlotte, NC.


Our team of 30+ marketers, designers, developers, writers, and specialists is growing quickly. Our clients see us as inbound advisers and trusted confidants and strategists — so we're looking for a smart, passionate inbound marketer to help lead 3-5 client projects.

As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead 3 - 5 client accounts, managing both the strategy and execution of results-driven inbound campaigns. The core of the position is acting as a strategic partner and advisor to the client, becoming an expert on both their business (value proposition, sales process, pain points) and their industry. Your work will focus on exploring inbound strategies using a test based approach that align with SMART goals you set for each client, as well as presenting their value as it pertains to their business objectives. You will work with a team of marketers and specialists, and be responsible for keeping work aligned with your SMART goals, as well as ensuring that all work is on time and within budget.


Qualifications include:

  • Has professional experience with digital or inbound marketing
  • Can work full-time in Charlotte, NC
  • Professional experience with Google Analytics (or similar analytics application)
  • Experience with HubSpot or able to quickly learn HubSpot
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal
  • Both analytical and creative
  • Can meet our continuing education certification requirements (4-6 certifications during the first year)
  • Possesses a desire for ongoing learning in digital marketing and analytics

Strong communication skills are also important, because we need to communicate our ideas to other team members and clients.

  • Assess clients' analytics and reporting to make recommendations
  • Create landing pages, call-to-action, update website pages, and optimize websites to improve conversion rates
  • Help retain and grow client relationships
  • Implement and manage client HubSpot accounts
  • Use analytics to drive marketing decision making
  • Provide clients reporting on performance and outcomes from marketing campaigns
  • Create and manage organic and paid campaigns with a focus on lead acquisition
  • Provide support and clear communications to clients
  • Strategy and execution for SEO, social media, content, and conversion rate optimization
  • Set goals using lead generation rates as a baseline
  • Contribute to action plans, strategy, and marketing recommendations provided to clients
  • Learn and practice account-based marketing and sales enablement techniques
  • Continually improve your skills, education, and certifications

We expect the final candidate to gain 5-6 HubSpot and Google certifications within the first 8 months on the job and a Salesforce admin certification within the first year. We also expect that this candidate will be open to learning and becoming a champion for Ironpaper's methodologies for marketing, sales, content, and management. Additionally, this position will require someone that will continuously learn and gain new and diverse skills over time.
