Agency Operations Manager - New York

We are hiring a Marketing Operations Manager to work full-time in our New York City office.

We are in the process of improving, optimizing, and scaling our marketing service operations for teams in New York City. The position would work collaboratively with our marketing director in leading marketing teams to drive client value.

This role will focus on training our teams, ensuring we execute against standards, drive client value, set client goals, focus on the right tactics, conduct practice presentations, and oversee daily operations of how marketing teams work on client accounts. This position will focus on the stands of how teams execute for clients, provide coaching, performance management, and team management.



We are seeking a smart and capable manager with a background in digital marketing or agency operations. Must have experience managing and coaching professionals. Capable of building and executing simple, clear systems to improve marketing operations. Well-versed in digital marketing.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead coaching and professional development training for marketers
  • Performance management for marketing teams
  • Oversees the operations of our marketing services
  • Learn Ironpaper's approach to marketing, and then act as the chief trainer and coach on this approach.
  • Conduct practice presentations, pitches, and meetings
  • Coaching individuals to improve their performance, motivation, and success
  • Review client analytics to help set and communicate goals
  • Lead marketing workshops for Ironpaper teams and clients
  • Marketing campaign creation, optimization, and management
  • Retain and grow client relationships
  • Improving communications between teams and clients
  • Participate in the development systems that allow teams to demonstrate clear and measurable value to clients

  • Creative and strategic problem solving to help the agency have more successful relationships with clients
  • Management strategy and execution to support growth of agency, client accounts, and teams at Ironpaper
  • Performance coaching and training: Regular, structured, one-on-one meetings to help individuals improve their capabilities, get the help they need, and strategically align to the agency’s value proposition
  • Play a role in speaking to clients, understanding needs, and getting everyone on the same page
  • Providing coaching and standardized training for teams (to be determined based on your capabilities)
  • Understand and track project scope in order to achieve agency growth
  • Coordinate performance review process: people, teams, projects

Qualifications include

  • Great communication and client-facing skills
  • 8+ Years of management experience (people, process, and presentation skills)
  • Agency experience (marketing, production, PR, creative, OR related experience)
  • Inbound marketing execution and strategy skills
  • Must be located remote within the US only, and be able to work 9am - 6pm EST
  • Must be comfortable working in a remote environment
