Organizational Development Director – Remote

We are hiring a full-time Organizational Development Director to ensure operational excellence as we grow and elevate our agency.

Fundamental Capabilities

  • 10+ years of management experience with at least 4 years in organizational development
  • Has successfully managed and developed other managers and/or directors
  • Highly successful at change management 
  • Exceptional listening and conflict-resolution skills, both client-facing and internally. 
  • Excellent presentation and facilitator abilities 
  • Experience working in a professional services firm
  • True problem solver who has the ability to spot not-so-common problems in operations before they occur, and to mitigate those problems successfully
  • Willingness to learn and a desire to receive feedback
  • Must have a successful track record of coaching employees of all levels 
  • Prior experience in designing and implementing effective training and development programs
  • Has researched and used a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Has methods of evaluating success of training programs as well as overall operational excellence
  • Strong analytic skills with an ability to derive insights and communicate those insights both verbally and in writing; prior experience in pitching ideas to C-Suite executives
  • Professional understanding of inbound marketing
  • Ability to complete required training courses via online learning
  • Must be able to work full-time remote within the US from 9 am to 6 pm EST

Your Day-to-Day

  • This role is very hands-on, and will both strategize and execute on organizational development programs that will facilitate the professional development and continuous growth of the team and the agency. 
  • Build a program to ensure professional development of the Director and Manager team. Set benchmarks and improvement goals.  
  • Help us continually improve new employee activation timelines, lead the training program, and conduct skill assessments. 
  • Partner with and support other leaders on team performance management, and help us improve team productivity. 
  • Create and support a plan for developing employees into management and leadership roles
  • Conduct periodic checkpoints to ensure processes, trainings, and plans continue to be carried out consistently throughout the agency
  • Play a vital integrator role to improve the agency’s operations. Understand the direction, vision, and mission of the agency, and work with the Directors to align and execute that mission
  • Be a positive, inspirational change manager
  • Step in on escalated client situations as needed
  • Manage the individual development planning process for executives and emerging leaders.
  • Provides consultative services to the business units regarding mentoring and step in as needed
  • Maintain an agency scorecard on agency performance. 
    • Track client happiness
    • Track workflows, productivity, and bottlenecks
  • Continually conduct interviews and audits to identify weaknesses and opportunities within the agency as well as attend team meetings to gain insights.  Track issues that arise and use an agile approach to prioritize, resolve, and document.
  • Conduct regular client calls to gauge happiness and collect feedback and use insights to help with team performance
  • Provide recommendations on team assignments and flow of projects to improve client  value



Extra credit if:

  • You have hands-on marketing experience 
  • Experience with assigning workforce resources to client accounts
  • Have worked in Agile project management


We need someone who is self-motivated, obsessed with learning, and inherently kind.

You must be a hands-on leader with substantial skills in change management and operations.

The ability to communicate effectively and coach leaders are imperative in order to provide effective feedback and impactful insights to elevate the team.
