PR & Growth Strategy Director - Remote

We are hiring a full-time Public Relations (PR) & Growth Strategy Director to support Ironpaper's growth.

This position offers the opportunity to write engaging content, provide PR strategy, and be involved in growth projects while working collaboratively with a great team.

About You:

  • Must be able to work full-time remotely within the US (excluding California) from 9 am to 6 pm EST.
  • 8+ years in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications
  • Strong in designing and implementing public relations strategies that engage the target audience and boost brand awareness and thought leadership
  • Highly articulate and can hold compelling conversations and presentations both in-person and on-screen
  • Drive high value in brand awareness through various channels and arranging interviews, press releases, podcasts, and other PR efforts
  • Appetite to learn and a desire to receive feedback
  • Ability to work with a MacBook and Google Suite  
  • Use data to make decisions

Core responsibilities

This is a new role, and there is some opportunity to help shape what it will become. Here is how we envision the breakdown of the role:

Approximately 50% of time:
  • Create thought leadership and growth content for Ironpaper 
Approximately 25% of time:
  • Pitch ideas and collaborate with other leaders on Ironpaper’s public relations strategy  
  • Vet, arrange and participate in PR opportunities for Ironpaper
  • Report on PR campaign results
Approximately 25% of time:
  • Join client meetings to discuss Ironpaper methodologies in support of sales efforts
  • Support agency growth projects and hold workshop sessions
  • Potential for public speaking at events
  • Potential to support client PR efforts in the future (to be discussed)

Extra Credit if:

  • Podcast planning, coordinating and recording experience
  • Hubspot experience
  • Inbound marketing knowledge
  • Experience working in a marketing agency
  • Experience using Agile or Scrum methodologies


Our ideal candidate would be self-driven, passionate about learning, and inherently kind.

Additionally, the candidate should be a strong writer and have a variety of PR skills.

Strong communication skills in remote settings are essential because we must communicate insights to other team members and clients.
