We are hiring an experienced Digital Director to lead our website and digital creative projects. You can work remotely within the US. 

Ironpaper is seeking to hire a Digital Director to lead website and creative digital projects. The right candidate will be experienced in leading web projects, user-experience solutions, client leadership, and have a strong understanding of marketing.

We seek an experienced manager (10+ years of experience) who can lead a creative or website project with a value-added approach. The right candidate will have a solid background in web projects, marketing, excellent communications abilities, team management, client services, and a passion for professional development and strategic thinking. 

You will lead the strategy and workflow of web projects, overseeing project managers, provide insights, present to clients, and provide ongoing coaching to team members. There will be project diversity in this role.

The types of projects will be website overhauls, user-experience audits, design projects, optimizing websites for better performance, improving navigation paths in a website, research, progressively improving existing websites, and other design or tech projects. 

We are a B2B growth agency.  Most of our revenue comes from recurring client contracts. We need to drive solutions that make clients see our work as a crucial part of their growth, so client value and success will be a large part of the role.

Core responsibilities


  • Lead digital projects: websites, branding, creative solutions, UX strategy, and web optimizations
  • Manage our web and design team. Lead critiques, process management, coaching, strategy sessions, workshops, constructive reviews, and client presentations
  • Improve processes: Distribution of work, conducting work reviews, simplifying workflow, documenting processes, defining work assignments
  • Coaching and feedback: Provide ongoing feedback to designers, developers, web project managers. Identify skills and professional development opportunities to improve the skills of our team

  • Collaborate with Senior Designers or Design Directors to implement improvements to our design process and increase the value of our solutions. 
  • Learn and improve your skills with conversion optimization, inbound marketing, and web strategy. Understand how websites can drive growth for companies. 
  • Learn and use Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other tools to identify performance improvements on websites.  Use data and metrics to articulate a decision or concept.

Qualifications include

  • Experience with leading web teams and web project-processes
  • Experience with leading strategy workshops related to web projects, the buyer journey, or branding research. 
  • Ability to lead effective presentations and pitches. Ability to provide logic and reasoning to clients as well as defend our solutions and strategic direction. 
  • Ability to provide coaching and professional development to web project managers, designers, or developers. 
  • Comfortable with both design process, technical projects, and with marketing research
  • An excellent communicator
  • A natural leader with empathetic superpowers
  • Must be located remote within the US only, and be able to work 9am - 6pm EST
  • Must be comfortable working in a remote environment

Our ideal candidate would be self-driven, passionate about learning, and friendly.

The candidate should be well versed in website strategy and a capable client service leader. Additionally, you must have experience with team management and coaching and have experience developing talent in a dynamic environment.

We are open to candidates that may need to gain new skills for this role and will take HubSpot and Google certifications within the first year to help with skill development. We also expect that this candidate will be open to learning and becoming a champion for Ironpaper's methodologies for marketing, sales, content, and management. Additionally, this position will require someone that will continuously learn and gain new and diverse skills over time.
